Crockpot meal sent straight from heaven! This is one of the easiest, juiciest whole chickens you will ever make. With a combination of lemons and oranges you get a nice sweet flavor add in the cloves for a spice. The best part is the leftover’s, makes a perfect lunch the next day
- 1 Whole chicken
- 2 Lemons, sliced into pieces
- 1 Orange, sliced into pieces
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 stick of butter, sliced
- *** A crockpot is needed for this meal
Start by placing 3/4 of your lemon & orange slices on the bottom of your crockpot. Add in your whole cleaned chicken and fill with chicken stock/water. Rub the salt, pepper, and ground cloves into the skin then place the butter in pieces on the skin.
Cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 8-9 hours.
